FROM
THE HEART
Renewal In The Master Month
by Shavi M. Ali
Spring has sprung with the entrance of the
Vernal Equinox and a profounder warm golden aura bathes the daylight
sky. In March we ate our paczskis on Fat Tuesday and welcomed the lenten
season. Although some people traditionally sacrifice some pleasurable
item or activity during Lent, it actually began in ancient Kemet (Egypt)
as Haker (pronounced Ha-keer) 40 days prior to the Vernal Equinox.
During this time, ancestors were honored with libations and beckoned to
for intercedence with the Infinite for a great need such as healing,
peace or abundance. The first day of Haker there was joy and feasting.
When spring came, the faith that God heard the intercession actualized
miracles. Here we see an aspect of how Higher Consciousness worked in
ancient times. Centuries removed from our Kemetic ancestors’ traditions,
the entrance of spring still give us a boost of energy and a desire for
renewal.
April is a master month
because, in numerology, it vibrates to the master number 11. This number
is the vibration of the psychic, the master teacher, the high priestess
or priest and the motivator. Thus, April is an excellent month to
develop these aspects of ourselves. The word psychic is from the Greek
word psyche which means spirit or soul and it refers to our intuitive
energy which allows us to tap into the ethereal realm to receive
guidance and knowledge. A simple but profound way to develop intuitive
ability is to sit quietly in a darkened room with only the flicker of a
candle flame. First take a deep breath and blow it out with a hard “ha”
sound about three times. Then begin to breathe slowly and rhythmically
with four counts in – hold – four counts out. Concentrate on the heart
which is the altar of our body temples. See a bright light surrounding
and enveloping it. Just rest there as you breathe in and out. You will
soon feel very relaxed and peaceful. To avoid falling asleep, make sure
that you are sitting on a straight-backed chair or on the floor on a
large cushion and keep your spine straight with your chin slightly
lowered. At first if only a sense of peace is achieved, this is fine
because such a sensation relaxes the nerve centers and organs of the
body and allows for healing to occur. After a period of time, you will
sense Divine ideas or inspirations. You may have visions or hear the
still small voice within which is the Higher Self, the spark of the
Creator.
As mentioned, the master
number 11 is also that of the master teacher. All of us have a talent.
We came into this incarnation with it. The meditation just discussed can
allow us to understand what our soul’s mission is at this time. We can
also know it via having our natal cosmic chart erected by a competent
cosmic scientist often called an astrologer. Ask him or her to chart the
Part of Fortune. This is the gift that we were given when we arrived on
Earth. For example, my Part of Fortune happens to be in my ninth house
in Virgo. The ninth house is that of philosophy, spirituality and
educational pursuits, particularly of a higher consciousness modality
and Virgo deals with issues of health, work, service and detailed
analysis. I tend to be very detailed regarding ninth house factors. I
search out the deeper dynamics, i.e., the historical roots of
philosophical paradigms and spiritual traditions and I continually work
on reaching the wisdom of my higher self. A ninth house Part of Fortune
indicates my mission as a teacher of not just academic subjects but of
mystical ones as well.
High Priestesses and
Priests in ancient times oversaw the daily operations in temples,
conducted ceremonies and taught both academic and mystical subjects.
Anytime you are in prayer, meditation or in the process of teaching in
order to develop human minds, you are performing the role of a High
Priestess or Priest. When you realize this important task in a deeper
manner and understand the spiritual work that is being done, your wisdom
increases.
Eleven is also the
motivator of others, but not just in cheering someone on in a special
pursuit but in working with large numbers of people, often a few at a
time, to advance themselves body, mind and spirit. This means that the
11 works within the laboratory of consciousness, and his or her
“experiments” are working out in flashes of insight, through dreams and
in prayer and meditation. Then teaching others is predicated upon
knowledge and experience. We all have the ability to be masters by
virtue of our DNA. Even thought the scientific meaning of this word is
deoxyribonulcleic acid which carries genetic information to our cells,
metaphysically, it means divine nature actualized because we have our
very souls, our Higher Selves and since we are all vibrations of the
Creator, we are all both a material and a spiritual family regardless of
race. After all, there is just one race, human! In Sanskrit, Hu is a
name for God in its creative mode, and man is from “manas” which means
mind. Consequently, to be human is to have creative mind. When we use
our creative mind harmoniously, we actualize our DNA.
In the master month of
April, let us use our DNA to tune-up our individual and collective
consciousness and make the key word for the month renewal; this word
vibrates to the master number 33, the vibration of the master healer.
There are no coincidences in the universe. Everything occurs according
to a divine plan. When we renew, we regenerate and when we regenerate,
we revitalize. We are heralded and so is our planetary home. Here is a
suggested affirmation to help bring in April’s gifts: I now receive the
vibration of renewal in body, mind and spirit and I actualize my
metaphysical DNA.
