Prosperity
(part III)
by Shaheerah Stephens
We all have a personal
money and success blueprint embedded in our subconscious mind. The
blueprint determines our financial destiny. Just as a blueprint for a
house determines what the house will look like. What is your money
blueprint? It is a preset program of your way of being in relation to
money.
T. Harv Eker, author of
Secrets of the Millionaire Mind (www.millionaire mind.com) says, “Our
financial blueprint consists of thoughts, feelings and actions. Thoughts
create feelings. Feelings lead to action and actions create results.”
Our financial blueprint consists of information and programming from the
past; especially the programming we received as young children. Parents,
siblings, friends, media, authority figures, religious leaders and our
culture shaped our money blueprint.
Every child is taught how
to think about and act in relation to money. These teachings become
automatic responses that run the rest of our lives if we don’t
intercede. The good news is, your money blueprint can be revised.
How? Eker gives us the
entire process in his book. I will share enough to get you started.
We are conditioned in
three primary ways: verbal programming, what we hear; modeling, what we
see; and specific incidents, what we experienced when we were young and
present experiences also.
What did you hear about
money as a child? I always heard, “Money doesn’t grow on trees!” What
was modeled? What did you see? Did you see good management of money? Any
specific incidents? Were there arguments about money? Was there enough
money or did you experience lack?
In order to revise
our money blueprint it’s important to understand the four key elements
of change. They are simple but profound:
• Awareness. You
can’t change something until you recognize that it exists.
• Understanding.
Understanding where your “way of thinking” originates.
• Disassociation.
Disassociate from the negative thinking, observe that type of thinking
and see it for what it is, “a file.” A file of information that’s been
stored for a long, long time.
• Reconditioning.
Affirmations, study, writing your goals daily and posting your vision so
it’s all that you see all day long.
In order to maximize on
the “8” energy of this year. (Determined by adding up all the numbers in
a given year, thus 2006= 8); decide today to look at your own money
files and blueprint. After you become aware of the files that no longer
serve who you are today; pull them out and throw them out.
For every negative file
make a positive statement and affirm that positive statement. For
example, what was modeled in my home was, “It’s difficult to make ends
meet.” My favorite affirmation is “I always have more than enough. I
always have plenty to spare and to share.” Write down what you remember
being said about money when you were a child and for all the negative
programs, turn it around and write a positive statement.
Often I will go through my
files on my computer and delete the ones that I no longer need to free
up more space on my hard drive. This is the same thing that needs to be
done on our mental hard drive; the subconscious mind. We have files that
need to be deleted. Nature abhors a vacuum so once you free up the
space, you must take time to create new files.
In regard to the
disassociation step; you might have to lovingly unlink yourself from
certain people while you are working on increasing your capacity to
receive. You are energy and so are other people. Would you allow someone
to bring in 160 pounds of toxic waste into your home? Well, even though
you don’t see it with the physical eye, too often you allow people to
bring in tons of toxic waste over the years.
The reconditioning factor
is something we must do constantly. Daily I affirm my good and count my
blessings. Daily I journal and write down my desires. These practices
keep me centered, clear and they send a clear message to the Universe.
Setting our intentions is a very powerful practice.
We are in the small what
God/Source is in the large. The Infinite has no shortages and we are one
with the Infinite; therefore, we shall not want.
We are already one with
all of the wealth and health that there is in the Universe. Our work is
to rid our hearts and minds of all the beliefs that are blocking us from
experiencing the blessings that are ours by divine right.
The channels for our
supply have been many and varied. Our supply has come through temporary
channels such as mother, father, odd jobs, steady jobs or our own
business. The Source though, is changeless and always responding to our
thoughts and feelings. Speak these words daily for the next seven days
and begin changing your money blueprint.
“Today I turn my attention
to the Source. Supply is never failing. I turn my attention away from
financial needs, debts and obligations. I think about what I desire and
I stop investing in the habit of complaining and blaming. I accept now
that I am one with the never-ceasing flow of good, which takes the form
of that which I need at all times. Opportunities are now presenting
themselves to me. Unexpected blessings come in the mail. Doors are
opening and people are recognizing my true worth because I am
recognizing my true worth. My blessings flow to me now from the east,
west, north and south. I am amply compensated for my efforts. My
surroundings are harmonious. I give my best and I am appreciated. I dare
to believe that life is loaded with all the good that I desire. My chief
concern is that I shall be all that I am meant to be on this day. I
leave the completing of my good to the Source, in whose presence I dwell
now and forever. I release this word now to the Universe and I move
forward into my day with great expectation and gratitude.”
