How’s it going in your world? Is it
becoming rocky, slippery, unstable? Are you feeling a little out of
control of your day, of your circumstances, of your life?
The times they are a’changin was penned by Bob Dylan in the 60s. The
times we continue to live in are anything but stagnant. Some attribute
it to the acceleration of energy on the planet. Those that attune
themselves through meditation and other spiritual practices during these
times can bring themselves back into vibrational harmony thus
experiencing a little easier journey.
One of the best things to do when you find
yourself caught up in chaos and your world seems to be spinning out of
control is to find a better way, to do something different, to change
your thinking. We can’t shift anything that’s happening in our world by
holding on to the fear.
The first step is to put yourself in the
wonderful environment of “willingness.” Just say to yourself, “I am
willing to look at this differently. I am willing to shift my
perspective. I am willing to let go of the fear around this or that
situation. I am willing.”
CNN’s founder Ted Turner has a plaque on
his desk proclaiming to everyone that, “The buck stops here.” He is
totally prepared to handle and be responsible for everything that is
happening around him. He is a take charge kind of a guy.
I propose that we be the new version of
the “take charge” people. How, you ask? By standing firmly in our Truth.
And what exactly is this Truth (with a
capital T)? It is the Truth of who you really are, the loving,
harmonious, joy-filled essence that you were born into this time and
space to express. If you are acting out of anything less than that, you
are just slightly out of sync with your own energetic signal. To tune
back into this vibration, to become re-connected with it is as close as
a breath away. Just stop for a moment, close your eyes, take in a slow
deep breath, imagine and feel your stream flowing and, voila!... you are
there!
I like the idea of “the fear stops here”
campaign. I can see it now, appearing everywhere on bumper stickers,
mugs, t-shirts, jackets, caps, billboards, marquees, skywriters. Let’s
take this message to heart and become stewards for the Truth. I think we
should make up plaques stating,
“The fear stops here!” Then everyone that
enters the room and sees it and resonates with it will be transmuted by
the power and presence of Truth. This could really catch on! Imagine
people stopping for a moment to let go of anything that is not in
harmony with who they really are. What a wonderful world it would be!

Picture this one... two women having lunch in a small restaurant on the
west coast a decade or so ago. They were basking in the joy of their
friendship and enjoying what a wonderful day it was when one of them was
hit with an idea that she scribbled down on a paper napkin. That one
little phrase took off and became a movement that, to this day, still
appears from time to time to remind us of our connection to each other.
“Practice random acts of kindness” resonated in our hearts and minds
because it is a concept that comes out of pure love... and that is truly
who we are. Pure unconditional love temporarily encased in human
jackets.
So, if your world is in a twirl right now,
try getting out of yourself. One way to do this is by practicing random
acts of kindness. This will create just the right shift of energy that
changes your focus on the problem, on fearful things, on what’s not
working, to the Truth of you. Marianne Williamson says, “When you change
your mind, you change your life.”
Dennis Wholey, author of The Miracle of
Change, agrees and adds, “At some point along the way, I discovered a
couple of life’s truisms: that the journey of life is inward, not upward
– and that all change is really for the better, regardless of how
painful it is at the time. Once we have embraced change, we reap its
rewards: freedom to be our self, absence of conflicts, a growing sense
of well-being and self-confidence and, most of all, happiness and joy”
Be a valiant and courageous upholder of
the Truth, a glorious being that welcomes experiences that remind you to
be that Love that you are. Proclaim proudly, “The fear stops here!”
because as Wholey reminded us, “Happiness and joy are what living should
be all about.”
