2 6:
A New Dawn
by
Chrissie Blaze
As we enter another new year most of us
are wondering what it will hold for us. There is so much talk of gloom
and doom that, on some level, we expect it. We should because these
things exist; however, the Light of Divinity, if expressed through love,
prayer and service, will illuminate the darkness. We are potentially
masters of our own lives and creators of spiritual opportunity, not
pawns waiting to blown hither and yon by the fickle winds of political
change and upheaval.
Below are prayers and thoughts for renewal
as we approach another new year. These are designed to help you align
yourself with God as your first action of each day, before even you
reach for your daily cup of coffee or read the newspaper. By doing this,
each day of your life will be as the blank canvas of an artist, waiting
for the masterpiece of your inspired thoughts and loving actions. Just
by aligning our thoughts each day with wisdom and prayers will help us
all gain a more spiritual perspective which in turn will bring inner
peace, fulfillment and appreciation for life.
My Spiritual Master, Dr. George King,
taught that “time is the measurement of change.” It is not a linear
thing that just measures 24 hours in each day; it is a living dimension
and cycle of choices, growth and evolution. Each day is more than the
number of hours it contains; it is a blank canvas on which we can choose
to paint the masterpiece of our own becoming.
There is a stillness and quietude in the
ethers as the new dawn of each day arises. There is a feeling of
possibility, of optimism, of hope and of expectancy. The day stretches
out before us, as yet untouched by our desires, our choices and our
achievements. There is a purity about the new day and a freshness.
What better way to begin than through
communion with our rich, inner world, God’s world? Let us decide, here
and now, to speak only those words that nurture and kindle the flame of
love through and around us. Let us remain expectant. Let us enjoy
enthusiasm, for it will signal to the world that we are ready to break
free from the chains that bind us to our lesser selves. Let us tread
lightly through this day, remembering we have the power of choice.
This is the day. It is the day when all
that has passed before you is gone and all our future dreams can be
created anew. It is the day when we can choose to cast aside our fears,
our anger and our shame. This is the most important day in all our many
lifetimes, for it is now.
The Dawn
Listen to the salutation to the dawn,
Look to this day for it is life, the very
life of life,
In its brief course lie all the verities
and realities of our existence.
The bliss of growth, the splendor of
beauty,
For yesterday is but a dream and tomorrow
is only a vision,
But today well spent makes every yesterday
a dream of happiness
and every tomorrow a vision of hope.
Look well therefore to this day.
Such is the salutation to the dawn.
Dr. Rabindranath Tagore
Prayer for Abundance
Oh Mighty Creator
I am One with Thee; my heart beats as
Yours
My soul, yearning to return, seeks Yours.
And in this brief passage through external
Life
I remember Thy Infinite Wisdom that dwells
silently within.
May I rest in this place, making my
desires Thy own.
May I want for nothing, but merge myself
ever closer to Thee
Knowing that abundance is but an
expression of
Thy infinite Bounty.
I align my thoughts and feelings with Thee
So that Thy treasures may be mine.
I realize that that the Cosmos is Thy
Limitless Source and Supply.
The more I share my God-given gifts with
all, the more I prosper.
The more I surrender myself to Thy inner
riches
The more I may abundantly bestow riches to
Thy external world.
Oh Father, Oh Mother, you provide me with
all that I need
So that Thy riches may flow to, through
and around me to all Life
Now – at this very moment
I offer my humble prayer in Thankfulness
To Thee – Eternal Creator, Provider and
Sustainer of All Life.
Great Peace, Great Peace, Great Peace
May Thy Will be mine.

Thoughts for 2006
I believe the only way forward is to align
ourselves more fully with the Laws of God and then come outward in
service to our world.
We need enlightened people on this planet.
We need men and women prepared to take responsibility, not just for
themselves and their own lives but for the whole world.
We need to realize the deeper truths. We
have the free will to change. We are not born to suffer. Let us
determine as we paint the blank canvas of 2006 that we will rise out
limitation into greater service for our world.
This is the most important day in all our
lifetimes, for it is now.
