phenomeNEWS Advertisers can upload large files to the "spirit" folder which resides on the ftp site for phenomenews.com, The "spirit" folder is a semi-public folder that clients can use to transfer files "To and From." This FTP folder is only to be used when you need to send your ad files to our production staff or if you need to retrieve a file or files from our production staff for approval.

A user name and password is required to enter this area. Any file over 2.5MB should be sent to our FTP folder. The folder name is called "spirit".  

Large files that are over 2.5MB or larger in size should NOT be sent through our email server as attachments. This is because the commonly used POP3 email protocol was never intended to handle large file attachments. So please use FTP or Fetch instead!

If you have the Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.01 web browser or higher you can login to the FTP spirit folder directly by clicking here. You then type in the login information below:

User name: spirit
Password:  (please contact phenomeNEWS for password, thank you)

Otherwise you will need a FTP or Fetch program to transfer files:

These programs are free programs available by download (see below)

WSFTP_32 is for PC's - go to http://www.royaloak.com/software.html ( click on WSFTP_32.ZIP to download )

FETCH is for MAC's - go to http://www.royaloak.com/software.html ( click on FETCH303.HQX to download )

Once the programs have been downloaded and installed use the settings below to login:

Settings for WS FTP for PC's

PROFILE:  (name it anything you want to)

HOST NAME:  pub.phenomenews.com

HOST TYPE:  Leave set to: Automatically detect

USER ID:  spirit

PASSWORD:  (please contact phenomeNEWS for password, thank you)

ACCOUNT:  (keep this field empty)

REMOTE HOST:  (keep this field empty)

LOCAL PC:  c:\    (or whatever folder your files at in)

COMMENT:   (keep this field empty)

Settings for Fetch 3 for Mac's

HOST:  pub.phenomenews.com

USER ID:  spirit

PASSWORD:  (please contact phenomeNEWS for password, thank you)

DIRECTORY:  spirit (remove this if you have trouble logging in)

*If you see an error message on first try logging in, just click OK and it will still log you in to our FTP folder.

Please note: that phenomeNEWS or Royal Oak Internet will periodically remove
these FTP files and folders, so please let us know when you have finished
transferring your files - so that we can pick them up!  Thank You.
