phenomeNEWS Ad requirements: for Graphic Images, Photos and Text

Question: Why has phenomeNEWS set these special requirements?
Answer: When we receive your ad, we want your ad to look great! In order to look great we require the following:

We need to be able to read it clearly (no jagged edges and if handwritten text is the only way you can provide your textual content, then it must be clearly printed and legible)
All ads should be 200-300 dpi (dots per inch) for clear precise printing output

For example: Never send us "Web Graphics" from your web site. Most web graphics are saved at 72 dpi and are not useable for "Print Media" (our phenomeNEWS Monthly Publication)

Question: How can I deliver my new ad content, graphic or photo to phenomeNEWS?
Answer: First of all we need to receive your ad information in a timely manner. phenomeNEWS is a monthly publication with set deadlines. Each Monthly deadline is the 25th of each month, 5 weeks prior to publication.

You may submit your ad content, graphic or photo in the following manner:

Email your ad file(s) to articles@phenomenews.com (also known as sending attachments)
For larger sized files over 2.5MB please use our client FTP folder (see this URL Internet address for how to use our FTP folder: http://www.phenomenews.com/ftp)
Mail or drop-off a removable diskette with your ad file(s) on it. Example 1.44MB floppy disk, Zip disk, etc.
Faxing ads to phenomeNEWS (recommended for text content only) Our fax number is: (248)-569-4512
Mail or drop-off "Camera Ready" artwork. (our address is below)

Requirements:

We prefer ads camera ready. However we can also design your ad for an extra fee. Camera ready is defined as: "ready to go to print." Please avoid sending poor quality photocopies. Use a high-resolution laser printer and set your printers settings for the "Best Output Quality." When delivering your ad files in an electronic form, it should be submitted as a TIFF file with a resolution of no less than 200 dpi. We can accept JPEG/JPG files if they are saved at the highest resolution. Photoshop files are good. Bitmaps (BMP) are a last choice. Microsoft Word, Adobe Photoshop, QuarkXpress are all acceptable file types. All other applications will not be accepted.

We can accept files in Mac or PC format. PC files have extensions like: .TIF, .BMP, .PSD, .DOC Also, please do not put spaces in file names when sending them over the Internet. If you need to use a space please use an underscore.

(For example: send as new_yoga.tif / not new yoga.tif)

Some photos will require a $10 scan fee. This is done to reproduce the photo for print and is a one-time fee. Call us for COLOR advertising rates. Telephone: (248)-569-3888

AD SIZE	HORIZONTAL x VERTICAL	Typesetting: Any display ad that needs to be designed and typeset has a minimum fee of $35. Any revisions to ads we typeset will incur an extra fee. Cost of art, logo, photo scans is $10 each. For Text Ads: Please send readable text. phenomeNEWS has many fonts on file, but there may be the rare case that we will have to substitute a close match unless you can also send us the font you require.
