FORGOTTEN HARVEST. Forgotten Harvest is metro Detroit's mobile food rescue program. and need volunteers Mon-Fri during normal business hours for various food rescue, special event and office projects, (248) 350-FOOD.

DETROIT RADIO INFORMATION SERVICE. (DRIS) is a closed-circuit broadcast service for blind and print-impaired persons. All services are operated by volunteers, (313) 577-4146.

DEAR HEARTS HOSPICE VOLUNTEERS seeks volunteers in capacities other than patient care.  Beauticians, barbers, handymen, those who like to work outdoors, (734) 246-6963.

HEARTLAND HOSPICE OF SOUTHFIELD seeks volunteers for patient care, office support, community outreach and assistance for families caring for their loved ones. Call Brianne or Mary, Volunteer Department at (800) 770-9859.

RECORDINGS FOR THE BLIND & DYSLEXIC, Inc. Record educational textbooks for visually and learning disabled students K-graduate level. Volunteer to read onto tape and/or monitor the recording of textbooks. Other volunteer opportunities available,

ANIMAL WELFARE SOCIETY of Southeastern Michigan needs volunteers for foster care, transporting pets, etc., (248) 548-1150.
