Month's Music Review
by Greg Ozimek

Welcome to 2008! a year of
all your possibilities, hopes and dreams coming into your hands and use!
You’ve heard of the Law of
Opposites. Decide right now that, no matter whatever happens to you this
day, you are going to look for the positive aspect of what’s happening.
Remember, every cloud has a silver lining.
Do this again tomorrow and
the next day until it becomes a habit to see the positive in everything.
You will feel better, you will be more productive and you will have more
friends. (Thanks Bob Proctor)
In the sounds of music
what will the new year 2008 bring? We hope it will bring sounds and
music that ease the transitions of our relationships, our lives and
endeavors and bring us into a grander unity with all that is.
Last year had these stand
out independent and new age artist’s CD albums. I hope you are enjoying
them:
DIAL M... FOR
MANTRA, JAI UTTAL (SOUNDS TRUE),
The ReMix album of Hindu
chants by Jai Uttal and friends.
SONGS OF SPIRIT,
NORMA GENTILE (LIVE SOUND HEALINGS).
Songs of Spirit is largely
based on the music and works of the 11th century nun Hildegard of Bingen.
Norma is a Sound Shaman and her music is healing, gentle and helps
energies in a space (home, office, land, etc.) release while it supports
you and your endeavors.
Norma also her most
excellent series of Sound Shaman healing podcasts available free from
iTunes via the Internet (you can listen either on your computer, on your
iPod, etc.)
eMOTIVE NON
PROFIT MUSIC, "MAKING MUSIC, SAVING LIVES."
Non Profit Music is a
record company based in Spain that donates all of its profits to
humanitarian causes, primarily the international medical emergency
relief organization, Doctors Without Borders.
You may be able to find
the tracks of this CD available for free via the internet. You can also

www.nonprofitmusic.org “where music is joined to Solidarity.” Click
on the Donations tab.
WOMEN IN CHANT:
THE ANNOUNCEMENT OF CHRISTMAS, THE CHOIR OF BENECTINE NUNS OF THE ABBEY
OF REGINA LAUDIE (SOUNDS TRUE).
These are favorite
Gregorian Chants for the Christmas Season and make any time of year a
special time. You can support the Abbey’s mission directly by purchasing
from the Abbey online at
www.abbeyofreginalaudis.com
IT'S ABOUT THE
ROSE, KAREN MARIE GARRETT, (WATERSTREET RECORDS & PUBLISHING).
This album, nearly an hour
in length but all too brief; has developed a following all its own by
people who are finding ways to survive the loss of a loved one (person
or pet). Karen’s piano places us in an uplifting spirit wisp’d in time,
held in a suspension, that penetrates and lingers long after her last
note has faded.
PARTY DRESS,
LYNNMARIE & THE BOXHOUNDS (SQUEEZE RECORDS).
This jumpy album of
accordion band music was a surprise to me! Jay Leno called LynnMarie the
“Dixie Chick of the Accordion”
INCREASE
VITALITY ANDREW WEIL, MD AND JOSHUA LEEDS.
Is it time to pick up the
tempo of your life? of your day? of your moment? These three tracks of
selected classical music sections will get you up and motivated and stir
your life from your roots in your soul: Psycho-acoustic music in three
stages: fast, faster and lord-have-mercy! Enjoy this CD while also
promoting good health and well being.
Happy new year 2008 every
one!
