Star Gazing (Astrology)
Here are the Specific indications for the 12 signs
JUNE 2005

As Jupiter goes direct in
Libra on the 5th there is a sense of relief after being held back since
it went retrograde in February. This month could be one of the busiest
of the year with invitations to weddings, graduations, family reunions
and parties. Jupiter is the planet of opportunity. In Libra, the
relationship sign, it connects us with others, but sometimes more is
expected than we can comfortably deliver. An example is the “Runaway
Bride” situation. Libra can vacillate, attempting to be fair, so
decisions can be delayed under the retrograde and many relationships
have broken under the pressure of trying to be “fair” or “keeping the
peace.” The way that many people interpret being “nice” is by not
speaking honestly about their true feelings for fear of hurting the
other. That can be as damaging as lying and the resulting repression
eventually hurts the partnership. Since Libra is the sign of mediation,
some may be able to put it back together with therapy and counseling.
Others will just go their own way. The Sun in Gemini until the 21st
supports teaching, learning, communication, commerce and the everyday
work force. The Sun’s entry into the sign of Cancer on the 21st is the
Summer Solstice (in the Northern Hemisphere). Cancer is the sign of
family, security and nurturing as well as Mother Earth. This is the time
to connect with family members and to plant, garden and honor the earth,
flowers, crops, the elements and the nurturing we receive from them.
Mercury
(communications, writing, contracts, commerce) in Gemini until the 11th
supports all types of communication, errands, social and business
opportunities to interact with others as well as commerce and manual
labor. It joins the Sun in Gemini and they both relate well with Jupiter
in the social sign of Libra. Mercury in Cancer from the 11th to the 28th
focuses communication and social interaction with the family, joining
Venus and Saturn in Cancer and the Sun in Cancer after the 21st. Mercury
in Leo after the 28th joins Venus in Leo supporting parties,
performance, sports and efforts to beautify the home and yard. Mercury
in Leo speaks from the ego and can sound egotistical, but it is very
favorable for performing.
Venus (values,
money, social connections) in Gemini until the 3rd values all methods of
communication – writing, speaking, teaching and learning – as well as
commerce, working with your hands and the everyday work force. Venus in
Cancer from the 3rd to the 28th values connection with family –
graduations, weddings and vacations as well as valuing the earth, crops,
flowers and food. Venus in Leo after the 28th values parties,
entertainment, performing and spending time in the sun working and
playing with friends. It joins Mercury in Leo on the 28th to support
these activities.
Mars (initiation,
energy, aggression) in Pisces until the 12th supports sympathy, service
and sensitivity to the needs of others. As you are doing spring cleaning
and organizing, think of giving away unused items to charity. Mars in
Aries after the 12th is in its own sign. It is very energetic but can
also be impatient. If you are already prone to a short temper, it will
be exacerbated by this energy and feel more pressured as Jupiter goes
direct in its opposite sign, particularly on the 26th when Mars opposes
Jupiter.
Jupiter (expansion,
opportunity, optimism, travel, foreign trade, education, religion)
retrogrades at 8 degrees Libra where it goes direct on the 5th,
repeating where it was in November 2004 and May 2005. Birthdays affected
most are October 2nd-3rd, March 29th-30th, June 30th-July 1st and
December 30th-31st as well as persons whose charts have planets or
angles from 8 to 9 degrees Libra, Aries, Cancer and Capricorn. Jupiter
in Libra brings opportunity thru mediation, cooperation, fairness and
arbitration to achieve win-win outcomes. Ruled by Venus, Libra brings a
renewed interest in relationships, romance, culture, decorating, art and
music. Attention to these helps nurture others and society, sharing each
person’s abilities and unique talents for self-expression.
Saturn (structure,
foundation, responsibility) transits 24 to 27 degrees Cancer where it
was from September-November 2004 and retrograde from November to January
2005. Saturn entered Cancer in June 2003, bringing restructuring, career
shifts and changes in responsibility to Cancerians. Saturn in Cancer has
raised issues of security, residence, consolidation of family resources
and new families as well as challenges in food service, building, real
estate, mortgages and care-taking businesses. In the larger sense of
family, Saturn in Cancer supports pride in one’s country and creation of
political, religious, philosophical and spiritual families. This month’s
transit affects those born July 17th-20th, April 14th-17th, October
17th-21st and January 14th-18th as well as those whose charts have
planets or angles at 24 to 27 degrees Capricorn, Cancer, Aries and
Libra. Saturn leaves Cancer in mid-July, so it is helpful to review what
was happening in your life about 30 years ago, during the half-cycle of
14-15 years (in Capricorn), the quarter cycle of 7 years (in Aries) and
21 years, the third quarter cycle (in Libra) to understand what the last
two years were meant to teach you about yourself and others.
Uranus (freedom,
rebellion, surprise, invention technology) transits 10 degrees Pisces
where it turns retrograde on the 14th, repeating where it was in May
2005 and will repeat in March 2006. During 1920, the previous cycle of
Uranus in Pisces, the US Congress granted women the right to vote.
People whose birthdays are March 1st, September 3rd, June 1st and
December 2nd will need freedom, experience chaos or make radical changes
at these times as well as persons whose charts have planets or angles at
10 degrees Pisces, Virgo, Gemini or Sagittarius. Uranus will be in
Pisces for 7 years. It supports social revolution and combines artistic
creativity with innovation and intellect with feminine sensitivity,
leading to modern ways of helping those in need and suggesting that the
only way that humanity will survive is by caring for each other and
doing what is best for all members of society, addressing humanitarian
and global issues, such as Tsunami and hunger relief, not just what
individuals or special interests promote.
Neptune
(sensitivity, inspiration, escapism, dreams, trust) retrogrades at 17
degrees Aquarius where it was in April 2005 and will repeat in February
2006 and again in October and November 2006. Neptune relates to
intangibles such as imagination, art and inspiration as well as escapism
and the process of healing. During the retrograde of Neptune (May thru
October 2005) will be a good time to release addictive habits, attitudes
or behaviors. Birthdays most affected are February 5th, August 9th,
November 9th and May 7th as well as charts with planets or angles at 17
degrees Aquarius, Scorpio, Taurus or Leo. Neptune transits bring a lack
of focus or direction, a sense of drifting or the inability to see a
betrayal, disappointment, error or weakness until it’s too late. On the
positive side this can be a time for healing, faith, psychic insights
and artistic creativity. Under Uranus in Pisces you can develop artistic
or musical talents, practice meditation and follow intuition and inner
guidance. But you may also need to watch your back and balance faith
with practicality and fact to see events clearly, not with just wishful
thinking or remaining attached to the dream or vision of what you think
might have been.
Pluto (power,
control, resources, transformation) retrogrades from 23 to 22 degrees
Sagittarius, repeating where it was in January 2005 and will repeat in
November 2005. Birthdays most affected are December 14th-15th, June
13th-14th, March 13th-14th and September 15th-16th as well as charts
with planets or angles at 22-23 degrees Virgo, Sagittarius, Gemini and
Pisces. Between January 2005 and Fall of 2006 they will experience major
changes in life such as career, relocation, marriage, divorce or
financial problems. During these times personal counseling or therapy
may be required and self-awareness and motivational work is valuable.
Pluto has passed the 20th degree and is two-thirds thru the sign of
Sagittarius, bringing transformation and paradigm shifts in education,
travel, religion, politics and global trade.
