Prosperity
(part II)
by Shaheerah Stephens
You must see the film What
The Bleep Do We Know? It clearly shows us the power of words and
thoughts. In the book, Prosperity by Charles Fillmore he says, “Ideas
generate thought currents, as a fire under a boiler generates steam. The
idea is the most important factor in every act and must be given first
place in our attention if we are to bring about results that are
permanent.”
We are an idea in the very
mind of God/Source. As we think, we think our thoughts into this mind
and it creates experiences and manifestations. The law of mind action
says, ideas held in mind create after their kind. It doesn’t evaluate
the quality of the thought or whether it’s a productive or
non-productive thought. It just produces.
One of my teachers, the great Dr. Johnnie Coleman taught us that “ideas
are the answer.” All is mind and as we think into our mind we are
simultaneously thinking into the One Mind. As we focus on an idea it
becomes a part of our cellular structure. Dr. Coleman said, ”We have
five major ideas that can solve any problem.”
ONE:
The idea of substance. Last month’s
article talked in depth about substance. Substance is the stuff out of
which all things are made. Sub means “under” and stance means “stand” so
if you put those two meanings together it means that which stands under
everything that is visible. It is the essence of all things and we shape
this invisible stuff with our thoughts and feelings. Catherine Ponder
says in Dynamic Laws of Prosperity, “If the usual channels of supply
have not opened, then invite unusual channels of supply to open by
recognizing that divine substance stands under every visible form of
supply, with endless ways in which to manifest its riches for you. Give
it your attention and appreciation. Let it prove its power to prosper
and care for you.”
Two:
The idea of love. We have been made out
of love because God is love and love is the greatest attracting power in
the universe. So as we remember, recognize and realize our true essence,
we embody love and we draw to us opportunities, greater peace, health,
wealth and fulfillment. Perfect love casts out fear. If you entertain
fear, you have kicked love out. Where your attention goes the power
flows, so direct your thoughts on love. How loving are you to yourself?
Can you love the unlovable? Are you willing to forgive?
Until you are willing to
forgive everyone for everything, your prosperity is blocked. Each day
for the next 21 days, write out a forgiveness list and put your name at
the top of the list. This practice keeps your heart clean and your
channels open.
THREE:
The idea of life. We do not live
independently of each other. We are one. We are one with all people and
we are one with all things. There is only one life and that life is
source and that life is our life. As we focus our attention and think on
this idea, the life force flows throughout our body. Every cell is alive
with this idea of life and new life is infused into every cell, every
organ and throughout every muscle. When you are feeling tired, stressed
or sick, choose the idea of life and think on it and imagine light
moving all over your body. With your mind you can direct the thought and
reap the physical benefits of the thoughts. The movie, What the Bleep
illustrates this so clearly with scientific validation.
FOUR:
The idea of power. Omnipotence means
“all power.” When we were created in the womb of our mother, power was
incorporated as a part of our package as a human. The power center is
the throat. The color that represents power is purple. Our words are
alive with power. Speak only what you desire to experience in your life.
If you speak negatively about others or yourself, you will see the
results in your life! Here’s an affirmation to practice for the next 21
days. Speak it often and observe what happens in your experience. “All
financial doors are open, all financial channels are free and (the
amount you desire) now comes to me in peace and harmony with no delay.”
FIVE:
The idea of wisdom. The seat of wisdom is in the solar
plexus. When the information comes out of that “gut level,” listen.
Solomon (Sol-o-mon), the sun man or solar plexus man, when asked by the
Lord what he should give him, chose wisdom above riches and honor; then
all the other things were added. Solomon was a great judge with rare
intuition and he used it freely in arriving at his judgments. He did not
rest his investigations on mere facts, but sought out the inner motives.
In the case of the two women who claimed the same infant, he commanded
an attendant to bring a sword and cut the child in two and give a half
to each woman. Of course the real mother begged him not to do this and
he knew at once that she was the mother. Wisdom resides in you. Ask
God/Source/the Universe any question and the answer will come. Try it!
Stop asking other people. You have the seat of wisdom within you.
Practice trusting your intuition. Follow your inner leadings and
hunches. Practice trusting the knower within you. In time you will get
the hang of how Spirit speaks to you and works with you. Spirit works
with us all and each person’s experience of Spirit is unique because we
are unique expressions of the Creator.
2006 an eight-year (8).
The axiom is “As above, so below.” As you deliberately focus on what you
desire often and with feeling; you are connecting to Source and the
Universe will respond. It’s a year of purpose, passion, power and
prosperity.
