THE
HEART OF LOVE
Your Core
Essence
by Scott and
Shannon PeckLet’s
talk about the real you – your core essence. And let’s really get down
to it so we can fully see the treasure called you. Are you ready?
Take a moment and identify
the top 10 spiritual qualities that best describe you. Be specific. Even
if you list 20, try to get the list down to the top ten. What words most
describe you at the soul level? Here are some examples: compassion,
creativity, nurturing, integrity, healing energy, empathy, caring, joy,
humor, loving, kind, gentle, strong, empowering.
Once you have your top 10,
write them on a card. This is your core essence. Recognize that this is
the evolutionary aspect of your spirituality. It took, perhaps, a
million years for you to become this. This is the part you’ve done well
and is now refined to a point that it identifies you. And you identify
with it.
This is a soul viewpoint
of the real you! The world won’t give you this picture of yourself. The
world’s view of you is merely three dimensional. Your core essence is in
a dimension beyond. And this dimension is the one that most defines your
life path and the high purpose you are here to fulfill. It may have
nothing to do with a job. Yet, again, it may.
It’s so easy for our core
essence to slip away from our thought as the world forces swirl through
our lives. To stay anchored in your core essence, create a simple “core
essence altar” to help you remember your essence.
Gather any object to help
you anchor your core essence. Begin with the card listing your
qualities. If you like, add a few other objects to help your core
essence become more tangible to you. Pick only objects that are special
to you and resonate with you, perhaps a candle or a rock from nature.
Let your intuition guide you. Create a sacred space, however small, with
your card and any other items that vibrate with your core essence, to
help you hold the energy of your highest self. Think of it as an energy
field expressing your core energy. During the day or evening, whenever
you see your sacred altar, you will be reminded that this is who you are
energetically and it now has visible form in front of you.
As you gather your
objects, even if it is only your card or just a few items, imbibe the
energy that expresses your core self. There’s energy to each word that
describes you. Feel the energy of each one. Perhaps make a drawing of
each word’s energy pattern. Try to become intimately acquainted with
your energy field. Use your imagination.
Then practice holding this
energy within you. As you sit quietly, sense your core energy field
around you and within you. Feel its strength. Offer it courage to
express greater pronouncement within you. See yourself as a
self-contained energy field and practice letting your core energy be
felt and pronounced as your full environment – without leaking through
distraction, forgetfulness or anyone or any circumstance dominating you
with another energy.
Look out into the week
ahead. Visualize yourself holding your core energy throughout the week.
Visualize yourself taking and practicing your energy field out into the
world. Consciously practice being a container for your energy field in
places you travel during the day and week – at home, work, on the
freeway, at stores, with friends, strangers, wherever you have your
meals and wherever your body is.
As you first practice your
soul’s energy field in public, you may wane in and out. You may forget.
But keep making efforts to remember. Who are you? As you recall your
core essence, it is what lies deep within you. Practice awareness of
your energy field and allow it to become even more energized through
your focused intention.
To strengthen the
expression of your core essence, your highest selfhood, listen to your
intuition or your inner voice for guidance, strength and understanding
so you can discover more of who you are and how to express your highest
self. Practice remembering that this high intuitive knowing is within
you and guiding you to hold, strengthen and express your energy field in
every area of your life.
Know and trust your core
essence to be an infinite resource for all your needs to be met – for
prosperity, strength, ability, life purpose, life plan, encouragement,
love, comfort, healing, support, help, health, stamina, energy,
vitality, inspiration, inner peace and everything else you will need for
your soul’s journey.
Look for ways you can be
helpful to others – from the depth of your core essence – to empower
them, be considerate of them, empathize with their deep desire to find
their core essence and to offer generous love.
As you practice living
your life at the level of your core essence, your life will create
awakening and will bless everyone in your path. Your soul will express
your destined imprint on Earth. Welcome to the heart of love.
