Star
Gazing (Astrology)
NOVEMBER 2007
The most prominent planetary action
this month is the start of Mars retrograde which occurs on the 15th at
12 degrees Cancer. President Bush’s Sun is 12 degrees and the USA’s is
13 degrees. Mars is the planet of energy, vitality, initiation,
pioneering and independence but also war and aggression. Cancer is the
sign of home, family, country, children, parents, nurturing and all
security issues such as food, money, finances and homes. Mars weakens
when retrograde. This is not a good time to begin or increase war
actions. Saddam Hussein entered Kuwait under Mars retrograde and lost.
This is the time for cessation of war. Mars will be retrograde until the
end of January 2008, but the entire cycle comprises the setup period
from September 17th to November 14th and the windup which spans from
January 30th to April 4th. Review what was happening around the 17th of
September, because it will relate to one or more of the above issues to
be worked on between September and April. There is increasing concern
for our health, shifting meat inspection from Federal to State as well
as safety of children due to unclean food (e.g. shrimp from overseas)
and unsafe products which we import. The Sun in Scorpio until the 22nd
supports passion, motivation, commitment, power, manipulation, control,
financial resources, sexuality, sharing and other people’s values and
opinions. Scorpio can aspire to the highest ideals or give in to the
bases of desires and stop at nothing, planning and strategizing to
achieve goals. The Sun in Sagittarius after the 22nd supports travel,
relocation, education, trade, advertising, public relations, religion
and legal matters. This is the time of year when more people are
involved with travel, entertaining and religious observance.
Mercury (communication, writing,
contracts, commerce, workers) turns direct on the 1st at 23 degrees
Libra. Mercury retrograde began on October 12th in Scorpio which is
passionate, strategic and driven and can also be controlling and pushy.
In Libra it is more willing to cooperate and share. The setup of the
retrograde began on September 21st when an issue was brought up to be
worked on during October and November. The exit phase of the retrograde
is from November 1st to the 17th. The Libra/Scorpio issue is cooperation
vs. control, sharing vs. greed and mediation vs. aggression.
Venus (values, money, social
connections) in Virgo until the 8th values service, routine, order,
planning, preparation, health, timelines, calendars, specializing and
doing what is practical. Venus in Libra after the 8th values balance,
peace, harmony, culture, arbitration, negotiation and social
interaction.
Mars (initiation, energy,
aggression) transits in Cancer all month, connecting energy, vitality
and possibly aggression to the sign of family, emotions, community and
country. It expends energy on the family but can ignite political
passion for the group one identifies with – country, community, religion
or special interest. Mars turns retrograde on the 15th and stays
retrograde until January 30th. It entered the shadow of the retrograde
on September 17th. The retrograde will relate to issues which were
brought up around this time. The Mars retrograde is a combination of
Gemini and Cancer – intellect vs. emotion/objective vs.
subjective/conversation vs. feelings. The “windup” phase spans January
30th to April 4th, 2008. Mars retrograde would be a good time to
decrease aggression and begin to bring our soldiers home, not to
increase aggression. An aggressor under Mars retrograde is the loser of
the conflict.
Jupiter (expansion, opportunity, optimism, travel, education, foreign
trade, religion, legal matters) transits 19 to 25 degrees Sagittarius
where it was in March and April 2007. Jupiter is in Sagittarius thru
mid-December 2007. Birthdays most affected this month are December
12th-18th, September 12th-19th, June 10th-17th and March 10th-16th as
well as persons or companies whose charts have planets or angles from 19
to 25 degrees Sagittarius, Gemini, Virgo or Pisces. Jupiter in its own
sign brings issues of and opportunity thru education, travel, foreign
countries, relocation, advertising, legal matters, politics, religion,
trade, public relations, marriage, graduation and freedom.
Saturn (structure, foundation,
responsibility) transits 6 to 8 degrees Virgo, where it will retrograde
in January/February 2008 and repeat in July/August 2008. The transit of
Saturn thru Virgo from September 2007 to July 2010 will focus on those
born between 1958 and 1972. This is the generation born when Pluto was
in Virgo. Virgo relates to health, service, everyday routine and doing
what is frugal, practical and orderly in daily life. This month’s
transit will most directly affect those born August 29th-31st, February
25th-27, May 27th-29th and November 29th-30th as well as those people or
entities whose charts have planets or angles from 6 to 8 degrees Virgo,
Pisces, Gemini or Sagittarius. Saturn’s last transit thru Virgo was 1978
to 1980. Review what was happening in your life about 30 years ago,
during the half-cycle of 14-15 years (in Pisces), the quarter cycle of 7
years (in Gemini) and 21 years, the third-quarter cycle (in Sagittarius)
to understand what Saturn in Virgo from September 2007 to July 2010 will
mean for you.
Uranus (freedom, rebellion,
surprise, invention technology) retrogrades from 15 to 14 degrees Pisces
where it turns direct on the 24th. It repeats where it was in March and
will be in December. The station of Uranus on the holiday weekend could
cause unusual weather and more travel delays than usual. Most affected
are birthdays of March 5th, June 5th, September 7th-8th and December 7th
as well as persons or companies whose charts have planets or angles from
14 to 15 degrees Pisces, Virgo, Gemini or Sagittarius. Between March and
December 2007 they will need freedom, experience chaos or make radical
changes. Uranus will be in Pisces until 2011 and supports social
revolution. During 1920, the start of the previous Uranus in Pisces,
Congress granted women the right to vote and the “Roaring 20s” began.
Uranus in Pisces supports artistic creativity with innovation and
intellect with sensitivity, leading to modern ways of helping those in
need and suggesting that the only way that humanity will survive is by
caring for each other and doing what is best for all, addressing
humanitarian and global issues such as disaster relief, global warming
and health care.
Neptune (sensitivity, inspiration,
escapism, dreams, trust) transits the 19th degree of Aquarius, where it
was in April, June and July 2006 as well as February and October of
2007. Neptune turned retrograde on May 24th and direct on October 31st.
From May to October, during the retrograde, was a time to release
addictive attitudes, behaviors or habits. Neptune relates to intangibles
such as art, imagination, inspiration, dance and creative writing as
well as prayer, healing, dreams and escapism. Birthdays most affected
are February 8th-9th, August 12th, November 12th and May 10th as well as
charts with planets or angles around 19 degrees Scorpio, Aquarius, Leo
and Taurus. Neptune transits bring a lack of focus or direction, a sense
of drifting or the inability to see an error, disappointment, betrayal
or weakness until it’s too late. They dissolve the past in order to open
space for the future. On the positive side this can be a time for faith,
healing, psychic insights and artistic creativity. Under Neptune in
Aquarius you can develop intuition, musical talents, practice meditation
and pay more attention to your own inner guidance. You may also need to
watch your back and balance faith with fact to see events clearly, not
with wishful thinking or being attached to the dream or vision of what
you think might have been.
Pluto (power, control, resources,
transformation) transits 27 degrees Sagittarius where it was in January,
June and July 2007. Most affected are birthdays of December 19th-20th,
June 18th-19th, March 18th and September 20th-21st as well as charts
with planets or angles around 27 degrees Sagittarius, Gemini, Pisces and
Virgo. Between January and July 2007 they will experience major changes
in life such as marriage, divorce, relocation, career and/or financial
challenges. These are times when counseling or therapy may be required
and self-awareness/motivational work necessary. Now that Pluto has
completed the 24th degree and is three-quarters of the way thru
Sagittarius, it has brought focus, transformation and paradigm shifts in
travel, education, travel, religion, politics and global trade. It has
also brought religion to the forefront of world politics, war, conflict
and the need to control.

signs are as follows:
