We find numbers everywhere and wherever we find numbers we also find meaning. Numbers are symbolic of the energy vibration that affect our lives. Numerology helps us to understand the influences and conditions that are set up by these vibrations. The numbers that make up things like our address, our bank account identity, birthdate, license plate, social security number and yes, even our age provide us with valuable insight. You can learn a lot about yourself and the circumstances of your past, present and future simply by studying the numbers that surround you and influence you every day. Numerology provides us with many interesting and relatively simple methods of discovery. One such method is the age consciousness number. This is a vibrational influence that is described by your age and the age that you are moving toward. For example, if you are 40-years-old you are in your 41st year of life. When you complete this year, on your next birthday, you will be 41-years-old. The age consciousness number, (ACN), is figured by adding your present age, in this case, 40 to the age that you are going to be, 41. So 40+41=81 and then reduce the total to a single digit, 8+1=9. Your ACN at age 40 is 9. Let’s look at another example. If you are 56-years-old your ACN would be figured by adding 56+57=113 and again reducing the total to a single digit, 1+1+3=5. Your ACN at age 56 is 5.

The age consciousness number describes a universal, general desire or attitude towards life that influences a person’s thoughts and behavior at any given age. For some this influence is subtle, for others it is felt in a more pronounced way. It should be obvious a 4 ACN, for example, would be experienced differently at age 6 than at age 33. The really fun thing about the age consciousness number is – you don’t need any information other than a person’s age to tell them something interesting and meaningful about their life. With a little practice you can figure the ACN in your head and “wow” them with your “psychic” ability! Figure your age consciousness number and look it up in the following list of explanations.

ACN 1. There is a desire to make a new start. An attitude of responsibility and independence is present. You want to do more for yourself, become more self reliant. Life will test you now. Note: Age 18, the age of becoming an adult and the independence and responsibility that goes along with it is a 1 ACN!

ACN 2. You are searching for a new direction, another path to take with your life. Your intuitive mind knows the right way to go. Now is the time to trust your inner voice. This is also a time for some to elevate themselves to a higher level of achievement.

ACN 3. There is a desire for more confidence and self-esteem. Your self-image is now very important. You have a “I want to express myself” attitude. Establishing your individuality is important now. This is a time of waiting; your patience is tested.

ACN 4. Your attitude is one of practicality. Working, planning for your secure future is highlighted. There is a desire for change, but also a resistance to it. Financial concerns are addressed. Foundations are built now. Remain flexible to avoid stagnation at this time.

ACN 5. You have a strong thirst for growth, expansion and freedom. You feel a need to learn about and do new things. You want excitement and new people in your life. A desire for travel is likely present. Focus is important now, one thing at a time, this will help you to avoid scattering your energy in too many directions.

ACN 6. Decisions and commitments are very important now especially in the areas of relationships, family and home. There is a desire to put balance back in your life. This is a good year to look at and evaluate your health. Decisions made now in this area may help you to avoid problems later.

ACN 7. Your attitude now is one of introspection. You are thinking a lot about your life and where you want to go with it. Truth is staring you in the face. There is a desire for more rest, relaxation, vacation time. Pushing things now will likely lead to frustration. Be patient, research your ideas.

ACN 8. You feel a sense of power, like you can make things happen now – and you can. Career is highlighted, a good time to make changes in this area. Your money situation is likely to improve. Things you have done in the past bear fruit and this is a good time to plant more seeds. This is a period of accomplishment, but beware of stress. You think about people from your past and you may run into them.

ACN 9. There is a desire to let go in certain areas of your life and just trust the process. You are ready to do some house cleaning, you want to finish up and move on to new things. (See ACN 1) You are tired of the drama. You are healing and part of healing is letting go.
