angels are really keeping you busy these days!

Oh, you can say that again.
Her latest book is Angel Numbers: The Angels Explain the Meaning of 111,
444 and Other Numbers in Your Life. That is such a fantastic book we’ll
be talking to Doreen about it. We are happy to welcome back Dr. Doreen
Virtue. When I
saw that you were on my interview schedule I was so happy because I
consider you both friends.

This is really nice. I never forgot the Archangel Michael story, when
you asked Michael for a validation, whether that was really your angel
and then you had a feather fall onto your shoulder of your jacket. I
love that story! You
remember! Who
would forget a story like that!
It’s one of Gerri’s good stories. Your
latest book talks about the sequence of numbers. We have run across
numbers that just seem to follow us around, certain sequences of
numbers. The first thing we did was jump into it and look up the numbers
that seem to hit us a lot. Let’s talk about the vibration of numbers and
why that’s important for us to understand what that all means right now.
Well, through past life
regression I found out that I was one of Pythagoras’ students. I wasn’t
his best student. He was actually one of the few spiritual teachers in
ancient times who had female students. But in my past life regression I
remembered that the reason he had female students was because he was
quite enamored of young women and I was one of them. He would take us
into his fold and we learned but mostly we were there to clean the
facilities and cook and such. I did get to learn quite a bit in that
lifetime that still is in my memory, that everything in the universe is
vibrating at a specific and harmonious rate. It’s all, as Louise Hay
says, in divine and perfect order. And Pythagoras teaches us that it’s
in divine order mathematically, that nothing is happening chaotically or
out of order. It’s all exactly perfect. So Angel Numbers is based on the
Pythagorean theory that every number vibrates to a specific degree. It
means something. So if you look at a license plate or a clock or a phone
number and you keep seeing the same numbers over and over again, that’s
often your angels trying to give you a message through the vibration of
those numbers. It’s not just coincidence or random. A long time ago, I
had asked the angels, what do these numbers mean? And they gave me
meanings and I began giving angel number readings to audiences... and
they loved it. In fact, a lot of times I had a hard time getting my
audience to get off of that topic, so I wrote a chapter in my book,
Healing with the Angels, about this phenomenon. So everyone kept asking
me, can you please make it into a pocket guide? And I said yes, but it
was a very daunting task because we’re talking about numbers 0 through
999, inclusive. And my schedule’s quite busy as you know. With non-stop
travel, teaching and writing other books. So my program director, my
associate Lynnette Brown (who’s also an angel channeler) offered to
start the book and make the template and a lot of the initial
channeling. So that’s how it finally got done . Now it’s a pocket guide,
a fat, little book that’s very small and fits easily into your purse. A
lot of people tell me they carry it around and when they see license
plates, they like to look up what it means. And if you get to know what
the numbers mean, you’re having a continuous, very easy-to-understand
conversation with your angels.
That’s so nice.
It makes it very nice. If
you’re running late for an appointment and ahead of you the license
plate reads 711, seven means you’re on a roll. One means watch your
thoughts. So what that would mean is you’ll be OK, you’ll be on time for
your appointment, but stay positive while you’re driving. And then that
car doesn’t need to be in front of you anymore. A lot of times when a
car cuts you off, it’s really an angel in disguise and you need to read
the bumper sticker or the license plate numbers or even the license
plate frame, because that person’s giving you a very in-your-face
message. Ooooh. That’s
interesting. We’ve always read bumper stickers and billboards and found
all kinds of interesting messages.
Completely. The angels say
everything’s a sign, in truth.
We believe that.
So this is just a way of
making it more clear. A lot of times when we’re stressed, we can’t
always hear our angels as clearly. So numbers is a way for them to
communicate with us when we’re feeling stressed or hurried.
Wow… that’s awesome. We love that. Doreen,
what if someone wanted to get in touch with their own angels.
Well, everyone has
angels, first of all. It doesn’t matter what our background is or our
religion or non-religion. And all we have to do to talk to those angels
is have the intention.
So, first of all,
decide that you want to talk to the angels. Some people are frightened
of what they might hear, frightened in the sense that maybe they will
have to change their life and they don’t feel prepared. That’s the
number one fear. So you’ve got to be ready to talk to the angels and,
yes, the angels probably will give you a few divine assignments that
will improve life, make you happier and healthier. And you’ll need to
probably change a few things. But the angels will make it harmonious. So
number one, decide.
Secondly, ask your
angels a question. Just think the thought. The angels hear your
thoughts. Or you can say it out loud or you can write them a letter.
That’s another nice way to do it.
And then third, pay
attention to the feelings you get. Most people in my surveys get
communications through feelings, either physical feelings like air
pressure changes or temperature changes or more commonly emotional
feelings, feelings of joy, dread or sadness. Those are all meaningful.
Pay attention to them and honor them.
Then, fourth, act on
those repetitive messages that you feel sure of. The angels’ messages
always ask you to improve something, either improve your own health,
help someone else or make a contribution to the world.
Do we have personal numbers?
Everybody seems to have
numbers that are their number vibrations. In numerology, of course, you
add up letters of your name or your birthdate. And there’s a number that
you vibrate to. Mine is 9. So 9 means “Get to work, lightworkers.”
People who have a 9 path pretty much work 24/7, including in their
sleep. They’re sent away to go to school to learn or to go do healing
work. Do you know what your numbers are?
Gerri’s a 4.
OK, 4. That’s the number
of the angelic realm. And in Kabbalah, number 4 is considered the number
of luck. In Chinese, 4 is considered the number of death, which can be a
flip side of luck. It can mean endings and beginnings, a lot of
transitions. So 4 would mean that you are an earth angel, that you’re
sent here to help others. And just with people on the 4 path, the
challenge is to make sure you balance all that giving you do with
receiving. Make sure you’re allowing other people to give to you.
It’s important for
the feminine spirit in us, too. Female energy is receptive as you know.
And when women only give and don’t receive, we get too much into our
male energy and get unbalanced. No wonder she has feathers on her
shoulder! Is that based on
your birthdate?
Well, it can be. Or it’s
just a number that you’ve been attracted to your whole life, maybe your
favorite number. How about a
1 and a 3?
That’s interesting…13, of course, is considered lucky in matriarchal
societies that honor the feminine and unlucky in patriarchal societies
that are afraid of strong women. And you definitely are a strong woman.
So 13 is the goddess path: 1 means just watch your thoughts and also
it’s about being highly creative and expressing that creativity. If you
bottle it up, a 1 person can go into addictions. A 3 means you’re
working with the high ascended masters, including Jesus. So 1 and 3
would mean the sacred path of a lot of responsibility on your shoulders.
Make sure you that don’t carry the weight of the world on you and again,
it’s all through creative expression. The 1 path they also say needs to
exercise, almost daily. So if your angels have been on your case to
exercise, that’s real. Oh
yes, they have been. Thank you, angels. I’m walking a lot. The stuff you
write on angels is so practical. It’s very user friendly.
Thank you. Yes, it’s down
to earth. I’m a triple earth sign, so I’m a super practical person. To
me, if information doesn’t help you to have a better day, then what’s
the point? I try to make it really A, B, C... here’s how we can all
benefit from this. I call it Reader’s Digest style.
Absolutely. Some years ago we
interviewed Sun Bear of the Bear Tribe. He was very practical, too. He
says, “If your philosophy doesn’t grow corn, I’m not interested.” We
love that. We really appreciate the things that you can apply. It’s very
helpful. Also,
you know a lot of people who are struggling with the material world are
those who are not grounded. So a lot of my work is teaching people to
help them get more grounded. Stay in your body.
The easiest way is to be aware of your
body. Are there some other pointers you can give us?
Well, earth life is
actually really fun if you get the hang of it. And part of getting the
hang of it is working with your angels non-stop. Your angels want to
help you with every part of life – small, medium and large. And once you
get in the habit of turning things over to the angels for decisions,
help with driving to work, whatever you need help with, then life
becomes really fun. And I believe that’s the way to break out of the
reincarnation cycle, by the way, and to balance your karma and all those
new age goals and intentions we have. Learn to master earth life by
having fun here.

You don’t have to
suffer with anything. If you’re struggling, that’s your ego.
We’re big Abraham fans.
Oh, don’t you love
Abraham! That’s what they’re
saying. Just have fun with all of it. Don’t take life too seriously.
Just have fun.
Archangel Michael says
that the highest vibration that we can have as an emotion is joy. And I
know Abraham does, too, because I’ve read the new material. Michael also
says the lowest vibration is guilt. So a lot of my work is helping
people to heal from guilt which is pure ego. Michael says that the
ancient members of religions knew this esoteric secret that we used to
be very powerful lightworkers. We did things like transport physical
objects through vibration of joy and sound and we could instantly
manifest. All the things you remember from Atlantis. Guilt disempowers
us, so now it’s time for us to take back our joy and release guilt to
the angels for transmutation and take this world back again, in the
power of the love and the light. That’s why we’re all here.
What about the number 11:11?
Well, 11:11 is very
powerful. It means two things. One is that there’s an opportunity,
energetically, for your manifestations to come to you instantly. A lot
of lightworkers tell me that they’re finding that their thoughts create
their reality immediately now, and it scares some people. And they’re
now realizing that there’s no such thing as a neutral thought, that
every thought creates and comes back to you. I remember Louise Hay in
the 80s saying that your thoughts came back to you in six months. Well
now, we’re all saying it comes back to you in seconds, especially if
you’re working the spiritual path, it comes even faster. So 11:11 means,
at that moment stop, take a Polaroid snapshot of your thoughts. Notice
them, in other words. And ask yourself, “Is this what I want to live
with?” And if not, you’ve got an opportunity to change your mind,
because you’re that powerful. And ask the angels.
There’s a particular
archangel I work with and I want to impart this to your readers because
she’s a female archangel energy named Jophiel. Her painting is on the
cover of my archangels oracle cards. She’s amazing. What Jophiel does is
help you get out of your ego instantly. As metaphysicians, we all know
that your thoughts create your reality. But what do you do when you get
negative? Well, if you call in Jophiel and just think the thought,
“Help, I’m in my ego.” It’s as if she has a switch and she’ll bring you
out to your Higher Self immediately. It’s the greatest thing I’ve ever
found. Now
the flip side of working with Jophiel is that… in Hebrew her name means
“beauty of God,” and she likes us to beautify our thoughts but also to
beautify our space. So I call her the Feng Shui angel. So if you call on
her, she’s going to get on your case to clean out your closets and your
garage. So I have to give that caveat for anyone who works with her
because she is a little bit of a taskmaster. She doesn’t like piles in
the office. That’s it! We’ve
had the wrong angel. We’ve got to get to that clutter!
She likes container
storage! She’ll help you organize, she really will. Just think the
thought, “Jophiel, I’m in my ego,” whenever you feel negative, sad,
afraid, lonely, any melancholy vibrational thoughts or feelings.
Or needing to de-clutter your space.
I’m telling you, I had
a personal crisis happen about two weeks ago, that I was way over my
head. I didn’t know what I was going to do. I just went into the
bathroom. I was in a public place and thought, “Jophiel, help.” And
instantly she lifted me up to the higher perspective that in truth it
was all going to work out and a healing happened that was way beyond
anything I could have thought of. And she just did that instantly. She
connects with the feminine energy of the angelic realm. She is really
powerful.

We love being part of that. We have a
question. It recently came up about the Hopi prophecies, the Mayan
prophecies and Nostradamus foretold that the world is going to be
heading into a period of “Armageddon” since the Pope’s death. Now that
we’re moving into that, have the angels been giving you any indication
of what’s going on energetically and what we can do as humanity if we
have to transmute some of that energy?
The angels have given me a
lot of messages that it hinges on the new children, the Indigo children
and the crystal children, which I’ve written about, as you know. Indigo
children have been around forever. They’re very sensitive people who are
strong-willed who have a temper, like angst. They’re really upset about
the war, pollution, corruption in government, like everyone is, but the
Indigo children don’t seem to have the ability to turn off their
feelings like we older generations do. A perfect example of an Indigo
child is Joan of Arc. But the biggest influx of Indigos came, between
1975 and 1995. Twenty years seems to be a cycle. So the new generation
after the Indigos is the crystal children. They started to be born in
1995 and will continue till 2015, which is right there after the Mayan
calendar ends. So the crystal children, like the Indigos are highly
sensitive to the point where they have allergies. No chemicals can be in
their systems. And the differences with the crystal child is they don’t
have a temper. They are the most forgiving, the most compassionate and
the most saint-like people you’ve ever met. They speak non-verbally. A
lot of them sing before they speak. They often don’t talk verbally until
3 or 4 and they’re being mis-labeled autistic, even though they don’t
fit the criterion because a true autistic person doesn’t connect.
They’re in their own world. What the angels say, is that we, the older
generation, the lightworkers, can usher these new kids to adulthood
without having them lose their gifts and their soul-purpose. Indigos’
soul purpose is to rid the world of corruption because they have inner
truth detectors that are right on the mark and they don’t deny that. We
know how sometimes we deny it. You go, “Well, I’m not sure, I shouldn’t
think that way, maybe this person really is nice.” Indigos just say,
“Hey, he’s a jerk. Don’t trust him.” And so, the Indigos are being mis-labeled
ADHD and put on Ritalin which turns off their truth detector. These are
the kids who are going to bring new presidents for us and new
government. And if we can help the crystals to not be labeled autistic,
then as they grow up, the angels show me a beautiful world, a golden
age. They show me the world is going to be more tropical, that the polar
ice cap melting will give us a fresh supply of water. It’s not a crisis
and we will get rid of jobs that are meaningless and we’re going to be
self-employed, eating organic, vegetarian food and living longer. They
really show me a paradise-like future, as long as we usher these earth
angels, the Indigos and the crystals.
If you had a last pearl of wisdom that
you’d like to leave, what would it be?
You have angels with
you. Your angels want to help you more often. Think the thought,
“Angels, please help me with…” and then fill in the blank with whatever
it is and they will go to work on your behalf to bring whatever it is
that you need for peace.
