Embracing The Moses Code

 by Shaheerah Stephens

My dear sister-friend Iyanla sent me the documentary, The Moses Code on DVD. She is one the featured speakers in the movie. I received a few emails about it; it was billed as being even more profound than The Secret.

Other featured speakers in The Moses Code are James Twyman, Andrew Harvey, Debbie Ford, Neale Donald Walsch, Gregg Braden, John Holland, Diana Cooper, Dr. Joe Dispenza, Les Brown, James Van Praagh, Sonia Choquette, Cheryl Richardson, Harville Hendricks, Rev. Mary Manin Morrissey, Anakha Comen, Kim Keller and Spryte Loriano. They all share their take on The Moses Code. It’s a pretty powerful cast.

In order to embrace and benefit from The Moses Code, we must understand a little about Moses. The movie does a great job doing that. I just want to expand upon what they did. First all of Moses’ name means “to draw out of.” Everyone in The Bible represents aspects of us. So we have all gone though our own Red Seas and many experiences that we are growing through right now, are “The Moses” in us drawing us out of our comfort zones into a more expanded way of living.

When Moses was told to go to Pharaoh and say, “Let my people go.” The Hebrew people were being enslaved in Egypt at the time. He was feeling pretty insecure and inadequate. Moses had a speech impediment and he didn’t feel that he was “the one” to go before a king and demand anything. How many times have we felt inadequate for the task? How many times have we thought of all the reasons we should not accept an opportunity that wasn’t life threatening?

Pharaoh spiritually represents the ego that imprisons us. We become imprisoned by the negative, fear-based stories we tell ourselves. It’s the stories that often keep us stuck. We have to tell the ego often; “Thank you very much, I hear and I am still going to move forward.”

God spoke to Moses through a burning bush. Moses said, “Who shall I say sent me?” God says, “Tell him ‘I am that I am’ sent you.

The name of God is “I Am.” Whenever we use the word “I Am” we are adhering the power of God to whatever it is we are saying. For instance, I am sick; we are actually using the power of God to encase ourselves in sickness. Only speak words that are positive. All of our words create.

The movie reveals that with the name, “I am that I am,” came a code that unleashes the power of this name. This code was omitted or hidden. This code is a symbol like many codes are. The code is a comma. As I watched the movie and this was revealed, I said, “Wow, how clever!” “I am that, (comma) I am.” So when we say I am that, what are we saying? We are saying that Source is everything. Lyrics from an oldie but goodie, “You are everything and everything is you.” The “I am that I am” is everywhere. It’s the invisible presence making things out of Itself. I can hear one of teacher’s voices in my ear right now saying, “God makes things out of Itself by some act upon Itself!”

Our thoughts cause substance or God to shape itself to match our thoughts and feelings. This is how we were created. We are endowed with the ability to create and manifest absolutely anything and everything. We are powerful beyond belief!

We are saying, “It’s all God.” There is no spot where God begins or ends. Michael Beckwith, who was also in The Secret and his lovely wife, Rickie Byers Beckwith wrote a song with the following lyrics. “I am in sunshine, I am in rain, I am in believers, I am in those who don’t know, I am in the shadow and the light… see me if you can, everywhere, I am.”

Whatever we are desiring, we are ultimately desiring God. The Creator is divine substance out of which everything that is visible is made. I have written on this concept in many of my articles. Log on to www.phenomenews.com and read my archive articles on Infinite Intelligence and You Can Have It All.

So when we are desiring a new home, job, car or relationship. The documentary instructs us to speak The Moses Code daily, “I am that, I am.” Say “I am that” on the out breath and “I am” on the in breath as you imagine what it is you desire.

When what you desire is good for all concerned, it is actually the Creator pushing forth from within you desiring to reveal Itself as you, as your life or as a gift for the world.

I have been consciously practicing this since I viewed the DVD. It’s pretty incredible... the immediate manifestation. For me, this reminds me that I am one with all that there is. We all need reminders. We are already one with all of the wealth that there is. We will only experience greater prosperity when we realize our oneness and call it into our experience. OK, you probably don’t have a clue how your prosperity will increase and you don’t need to know how. Wayne Dyer says, “Contemplate yourself surrounded by the conditions that you prefer.” We are an idea in the mind of God and as we think we are thinking into divine mind. Source knows how to arrange circumstances, events and experiences to insure that what you see, think and feel will come into manifested form. This is again the concept of manifesting.

Having been in New Thought, Unity and Science of Mind for over three decades I have to say, none of this is “new.” We have taught the power of I Am for years. I am just very pleased that it is becoming main stream. I have waited for this time to come and now it is here. I was born for this time. The global book study of The New Earth lead by the awesome Oprah Winfrey, is all a part of the radical shift that is taking place before our very eyes and it is exciting.

The documentary offers us three keys to experiencing God. Actually they use GOD as an acronym. G is for giving. O is for oneness. D is for Destiny.

We are all here for a purpose and as we give of our essence which is love to the world, we naturally prosper. So often people will say I don’t know what my purpose is? Well it’s quite simple. You are here to love. Love can show up in whatever you do, all day long.

We are one. I don’t know where this statement originated but I love it, “There’s only one of us here.” As I see my sister or brother I see myself. We are also one with everything, trees, oceans, rivers and rocks. It’s all God. This understanding and practice takes us to our destiny. This is exciting!

Embrace The Moses Code. Begin right now. If you are struggling to complete a project or just need more energy. Affirm, “I am that, I am.” You are. Whatever you are looking for, you are looking with. When you see something you’d like to experience or have, say, “I am that!” The I Am in you knows how to break forth into visibility.
